School Bus Drivers

1. What is the name of this initiative?

A special one-off incentive of RM500 for School Bus Drivers under the Supplementary Strategic Programme to Empower the People and Economy (PEMERKASA+) 2021.

2. Who is eligible for PEMERKASA + 2021 assistance?

(i) Malaysian citizens

(ii) Recipients of the RM500 PERMAI 2021 incentive; and

(iii) Hold a Vocational Licence (PSV) valid with JPJ on 31 March 2021;

(iv) Hold an individually owned permit, or work for a School Bus Company holding a permit issued by LPKP Sarawak, valid on 31 March 2021;

(v) School bus drivers employed by Federal Statutory Bodies and State Statutory Bodies (GLCs) are not eligible for this incentive;

(vi) For drivers employed by School Bus Companies, the company must submit a Driver Confirmation Letter using Letterhead and email it in PDF / JPG format to pelesenanlpkpsrwk@gmail.com

(vii) Must not receive any other incentive under PEMERKASA + 2021.

3. I received the PERMAI 2021 incentive. Am I still eligible this time?

Yes. School Bus Drivers eligible for the PERMAI 2021 incentive are automatically eligible, provided they hold an individually owned permit or work for a School Bus Company with a permit issued by LPKP Sarawak, and hold a JPJ Vocational Licence (PSV), all valid on 31 March 2021. No new application is required, and payment will be credited directly to your bank account.

4. I did not previously receive PERMAI 2021 assistance. Can I apply for PEMERKASA + 2021, and how is payment made?

If you did not receive PERMAI 2021 assistance but meet the eligibility criteria this time, you may apply by completing the application form at the following link shorturl.at/xEU22 from 26 June 2021. Payment will be credited directly to eligible drivers’ bank accounts after their eligibility criteria have been checked.

5. When will School Bus Drivers receive this incentive?

Payment will be credited directly to eligible drivers’ bank accounts after eligibility checks are completed.

6. Are all new applicants automatically eligible for this incentive?

No. All new applications will first be checked to ensure that the eligibility criteria are met before the driver is considered eligible for this incentive.

7. I drive school buses, taxis, hire cars and e-hailing vehicles. Am I eligible for two or more incentive payments?

No. You are eligible for an incentive payment in only 1 category.

8. If I own two or more school buses, am I eligible for two or more incentive payments?

No. This incentive is paid once to each driver or relief driver, rather than according to the number of permits or vehicles owned
